Help save Angel Nieves Diaz from an unjust execution in Florida on December 13!

Dear Sissel,

Help save Angel Nieves Diaz from an unjust execution in Florida on December 13!

Mental health experts conclude that Mr. Diaz suffers from mental disorders which contributed to his decision to represent himself and undermined his ability to do so competently.

His trial also revealed troubling disparities, including conflicting evidence about who the actual gunman was and the use of unreliable testimony by a jailhouse informant. Furthermore, even though one defendant received a life sentence, Mr. Diaz was condemned to death.

A key prosecution witness at the trial has recanted his testimony,
which had been a key part of the evidence that convicted Diaz
of murder. On November 27, lawyers for Mr. Diaz filed a new
motion in court on the basis of this new evidence. Mr. Diaz’s
execution is still scheduled to proceed.

Please urge Governor Bush to stop the execution of Angel Diaz!
